I am a visual artist working in painting and drawing. I earned my B.F.A. from the University of North Florida in 2022 and have since worked as a Museum Educator at MOCA Jacksonville while curating multiple group exhibitions with Downtown Vision, Inc.
In my studio practice, I paint in acrylic on matte-primed canvas, building thin, layered glazes over detailed drawings. My work emphasizes the figure while blending surrealism and horror, exploring inwardness and the tension between vulnerability and confrontation. I use the body as a site of excavation, exaggerating and multiplying features to create discomfort and tension between self-recognition and self-erasure. My visual language is broad, combining muted tones with saturated colors, dynamic movement, and playful explorations of carnality and the body, creating work that manifests emotional states rather than identity.
